VETUSTA MORLA

Vetusta Morla is a sextet of rock originated in the late 90's trying to go beyond gender stereotypes.

First in an aesthetic sense, adding bells and rhythmic patterns outside the rock tradition, integrating it without claiming the merger or miscegenation.

His direct and intense lyrics that prefer the suggestion to post unique images and invite the active participation of the listener, are the other two anchors art of his music.

Second, this group also travels unconventional about the way the band was presented to the public and manages creation.

The two albums that Vetusta Morla has published to date, A Day in the World (2008) and Maps (2011) have been published by Little Falls Mortal, a label they created to offer a secondary road, a diversion channels the recording industry standard allowing them to avoid an apparent paralysis of the sector.

His case, a tour of absolute anonymity to be one of the most recognizable formations independent scene in Spain, is an inspiring anomaly in the music business system.

Consider music as an end in itself and not as a means to something else and understood as a form of personal adventure and emotional, rather than a form of business, was the perspective that has shaped the idiosyncrasies of Vetusta Morla.

This perspective has led them to the top of the charts and get the gold record (over 20,000 copies) for maps and platinum (40,000 copies) for A Day in the World.

It also led them to tour in the hanging no posts throughout the country and also for countries like Mexico and Argentina and to receive awards in three Music Awards to four UFI Awards, among others.

In all his work, have tried to put Internet on your side, making a direct use of social networks and carrying out actions intended to be used in favor of new technologies.

Making every angle is covered and not on anything unnecessary guess work involved and a tremendous commitment, probably more a headache. not be easy calving 12 songs full of winks and surprises that force you to have the ear, and the neuron, attentive, and feel in the gut when you hear these tickle first (or eighth, even better ...) after which you sense is going to become your favorite song (little dreamer, waiting to hear the next track ...). also be nice but a bit ugly at the same time having 700 or more people who do not want to disappoint Clinging to you, and not defraud because you give it your best and ask the best of them by not satisfy them with empty slogans or songs parasites like we were lobotomized, and that is welcome and appreciate that we value. What is clear is this album, for which we love music and we love your music, exudes elegance and generosity, especially for patrons to have left us to enjoy something so special, just for the little effort to be there and walk a little more alive when you click and give our bit.
