The Ethnographic Museum Soriano Carlos Molina of El Llano organized its first workshop for children on Sunday May 13 (11/05/2012)

The Department of Tourism of the City of Molina proposed for Sunday May 13 visit to the Ethnographic Museum Soriano Carlos Molina of El Llano, which will host Origami Workshop.

The Ethnographic Museum Carlos Soriano is located in the old manor that this lawyer had in his agricultural colony of El Llano de Molina de Segura and was opened in 2003.

It offers activities Monday through Thursday for organized groups (schools, associations, cultural centers, etc.., The municipality and the region), and the second Sunday of the month, for the population in general, from 11.30 hours to 13.30 hours.

The city of Molina de Segura, in collaboration with the Ministry of Public Works, restored the building and set up this center.

The complex is constituted by the manor house, the chapel attached to part of the colony, an area of ​​agricultural crops, to show the characteristic products of the area, a hydraulic wheel running on the canal and declared a Cultural and since 2011, a temporary exhibition hall.

The manor house has two floors.

On the ground floor, is the entrance, which highlights a tinajero, under the stairs, and some of the archaeological surveys in the municipality since 1992.

Turning to the kitchen, there are different tools that were part of this room and some collections of ceramics and glass.

Passing through the courtyard of the house leads to the temporary exhibition hall, where there are proposals from artists of the town.

The First Floor includes the first room where one can see different costumes.

The next room consists of several models, which are collected works vegetable garden and some artifacts, such as wells, mills, etc..

The last room recreates a bedroom of the late nineteenth century.
