The City of Molina de Segura commemorates the International Museum Day with scheduling various events during the month of May (09/05/2012)

The Department of Culture and Tourism and Museums in the city of Molina de Segura have organized a series of events to commemorate the World Day of Museums, held on 18 May.

In the 2012 edition, the theme chosen by the International Council of Museums (ICOM), the holding agency is Museums in a changing world: new challenges, new inspirations.

Events take place from 10 to 18 May in the three municipal museums open to the public today, and depend on the above councils: the Ethnographic Museum Soriano Carlos Molina of El Llano, El Museo del Horno Council and House of Folklore of the Castle District and the Center's Albarda Rites and Traditions of Golf Molina, situated in the old schools of the parish unit of The Albarda molinense.

The events scheduled are:

Carlos Soriano Ethnographic Museum of El Llano de Molina:

May 10: at 20.00 pm in the Exhibition Hall, opening ceremony of the exhibition Between Moons, Moon Arnaldos Jose Jimenez and Francisco Luna.

Timetable: from 18.00 to 21.00, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

Open to the public until June 22.

May 13: Free Origami Workshop and visits to the Museum.

Registration in Aldaba Congresses (968 21 90 99), Department of Tourism (968 38 85 22/968 38 85 23) and Department of Culture (968 38 85 19).

May 18: at 20.00, Assembly of the Association of Friends of the Museum.

May 18: Opening to the public, Cid Street, corner of C / Castillo.
