The award ceremony of the distinctions of Adopted Daughter of Molina de Segura Lopez Ferra Providence (posthumously) and adopted son of Molina de Segura Pedro Sanchez Rubio will take place on Friday 27 April at 19.30 am in the Plenary Hall of the city of Molina de Segura.
The event will be chaired by the Mayor of the town, Eduardo Contreras Linares, and attended by other members of the Municipal Corporation.
On December 19, 2011, the Municipal Council of the City of Molina de Segura unanimously agreed to award the distinction of Honorary Citizen of Molina de Segura Pedro Sanchez Rubio, "in recognition of his merits and services rendered to the municipality" and grant the distinction of Foster Child (posthumously) to Providence Lopez Ferra, "on its merits and services to the municipality."
It was also agreed to dedicate a street in the municipality to Pedro Sánchez Rubio and Lopez Ferra Providence.
Providence Lopez Ferra was born in the district of San Juan in Murcia, on June 17, 1931.
