Molina de Segura celebrates VII Solidarity March in aid of children and the elderly in critical malnutrition in the city of Kananga (Democratic Republic of Congo), organized by the Carmelite Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Molina de Segura, Saturday April 21, at 0830 hours, from the Church of the Sacred Heart of Molina de Segura to the Hermitage of the hamlet of El Llano de Molina (next to the Ethnographic Museum Carlos Soriano).
The solidarity march is to raise funds for a district of 22,000 inhabitants of the Congolese city of Kananga, where a large number of children and the elderly in critical condition from malnutrition, many with AIDS.
Nutrition Center, Health Center Annex to the Carmelite Missionary Sisters directed, meets this need.
Each day the number of children served, whose number varies between 90 and 100.
90% of these children are under 5 years old and come from extremely poor families, and others are orphans.
The marchers working with 3 euros as a contribution to charity project.
The arrival at El Llano is scheduled at 10.00 hours (with the possibility of returning to Molina de Segura in vehicle).
