The Murcian artist Alvaro Peña presents the exhibition DELIRIOUS LYRIC (18/04/2012)

LYRIC exposure DELIRIOUS, Alvaro Pena, organized by the Department of Culture of the City of Molina de Segura, will be inaugurated on Thursday 19 April at 20.00 pm in the Exhibition Hall Garden (at Calle Joaquin Abellan, No. 8 of Molina de Segura).

The event was attended by the Mayor of the town, Eduardo Contreras Linares, Councillor for Culture, Mariola Martinez Robles, and the artist himself.

The exhibition will be open until 19 May and can be visited: in the morning, Thursday and Friday from 11.00 to 13.00 hours in the evenings, Tuesday to Saturday, 17.30 to 20.30 hours and Sunday and Monday closed .

Alvaro Peña (Murcia, 1968) is a painter, illustrator and cartoonist.

Degree in Political Science and Sociology, alternating work between painting, comics and political cartoons, currently publishing his works in different media, both regional and national.

It's Academic Correspondent of the Royal Academy of Alfonso X the Wise, and has taught various courses in painting and illustration and comics.

Has received, among others, the Institutional Award for Solidarity.

Madrid 2010, awarded by FEBHI.

Since 2004, he has shown his work in fifteen solo exhibitions and in fifteen other group, and has illustrated books and official posters of various cultural events.

He has published seven books between 2004 and 2009.

Exposure Lyric Delirious is a journey through the work of Alvaro Peña, as an artist, cartoonist, illustrator, watercolorist and artist.

It is subdivided into three delusions, corresponding to the artistic activity: first, as an artist, cartoonist and illustrator, second, and watercolorist, and third, as an artist.

The different stages are presented through texts of Maria Carmen Sanchez Rojas, Pedro Soler, Juan Tomás Frutos, and Pedro Lopez Morales, among others.

The painter presents works of different techniques: ink, graphite, watercolor, oil and acrylic.

In addition, the exhibition will present a documentary video on how to live and create Alvaro Peña, and along with the artist's work will expose a collection of photographs taken by Basil I.

Saez, due to the recording of the video documentary.

As novel and striking appearance, the exhibition can be seen different interpretations carried out by the painter's son, Alvaro Manuel, four years old, in works painted by his father.

Exposure can be defined as a Flash Back, regression to the origins of the artist, when at 14 years and published his first comics.
