UPyD requests the City Council "concrete measures" to offset the rise in Molina de Segura IBI (25/01/2012)

Molina de Segura UPyD asked in Parliament next Monday, January 30 on the "specific measures" that will perform the Consistory to compensate for the double IBI rise in the municipality, after the Government increased the tax on 10% for the next two years, shortly after the Consistory do the same despite the rejection of all opposition groups.

For his spokesman, Hernandez embodies the City Council "is obliged to provide a response to citizens for their special unemployment or economic circumstances inevitably look doomed to fail to meet this expenditure."

For Hernandez, "have to be applicable rebates, exemptions and holidays, and maximize flexibility in the payment splits, so that these citizens do not become delinquent."

He recalled that "the township has nearly 7,000 unemployed and that the City has to take a humane and personalized to each case."

Hernandez also regretted the apparent lack of coordination between different public administrations has been the rise in cases such as the IBI, and that the Government has resorted to raising taxes to alleviate the precarious financial situation of the municipalities, rather than undertake a reform urgent local finance system.

Also, ask the team UPyD Government in the House, as has been calling on various committees information that explains what fate will have the nearly two million that the City will enter through these increases after the strong current municipal budget cuts contemplated for public employees, or items such as for sport or environment are almost deserted.

Motions in payment and to request the repeal of the ordinance of begging

The city spokesman announced that his group rise to the full two motions.

In the first, we seek the repeal of the ordinance, which still applies to the municipality, begging, as some of its precepts, such as sanctions or withdrawal of alms may be in conflict with constitutional rights and freedoms, apart from being a document "obsolete" with the needs of the municipality, in which should prevail in any case, the protocols of social welfare help from these cases, and in any case, punitive damages.

In the motion for payment in kind, UPyD asked the City Council's commitment to mediate eviction cases that occur in the town, lending his support and coverage to residents affected by the evictions.
