The City of Molina de Segura and Tourist Consortium Northwest Greenway celebrate the World Day of Environmental Education on Thursday, January 26 (25/01/2012)

On the occasion of World Environmental Education to increase awareness and involvement of youth in the care of the environment, the Tourist Consortium of the Northwest Greenway and the city of Molina de Segura organized the ceremony for the certificates to three local schools who participated in last November at the First Week of Green Campaign Revegetation I love you, Greenway.

The event will take place on Thursday 26 January at 10.00 pm in the City Press molinense, and will be attended by the Mayor of the town, Eduardo Contreras Linares, the Manager of the Tourist Consortium of the Northwest Greenway, John Soria Martinez, a representative of the Cajamar Foundation, and school teachers Nuestra Señora de los Remedios in La Torrealta, Vega del Segura de La Ribera de Molina and La Purisima in El Llano de Molina.

The campaign, developed by an agreement signed by the Cajamar Foundation and the Consortium of Tourism, reached more than 600 schools in the northwest region of some 110 of Molina de Segura and concluded with a week of revegetation in which were planted in Northwest Greenway native species transferred through the Foundation's Experimental Program Cajamar.

The Councillor for the Environment, Worship Molina Lopez, thanked "the work and effort of participation by faculty and management team of the three schools in the campaign you want Green, Greenway, and the work being done by the Tourist Consortium Greenway Foundation and Cajamar in environmental education campaigns directed at society at Murcia, in particular, citizens of the municipalities for what goes on the Greenway. It is also commended the enhancement of this pathway, used by many neighbors of Molina de Segura ".

The Tourist Consortium Northwest Greenway was created as a public entity, for technical cooperation, economic and administrative management of the Greenway and the municipalities that compose it.

It consists of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Region of Murcia and the towns through which passes the Greenway, which are Murcia, Molina de Segura, Alguazas, Campos del Río, Albudeite, Mula, Bullas, Cehegin and Caravaca de la Cruz.
