The opening ceremony of the new Municipal Center La Molina de Segura Alcayna took place today Tuesday 22 March, the Segura River Street Urbanization Alcayna.
Attended by the Mayor of the town, Eduardo Contreras Linares, Minister of Presidency and Public Administrations of the Region of Murcia, María García Pedro Reverte, the Minister of Justice and Public Safety, Manuel Campos Sanchez, Councillor for Citizen Security and Local Police Fortunato Arias City and Municipal Councillor of Works, Daniel Soltero Chaves.
The new infrastructure will mainly cover the residential areas of the municipality (Altorreal, La Alcayna, Rabbits, Los Olivos, El Chorrico, etc.) And the field of Molina de Segura, where the population increase in recent years is very significant and has now reached a figure exceeding 12,000 inhabitants.
The building, whose construction began in May 2009, has a total area of ​​1,432 square meters on three floors, and an investment of 1,500,000 euros.
The Autonomous Community of Murcia has financed the construction with 900,000 euros, while the remaining 600,000 euros were provided by the City molinense.
The basement has parking, warehouses and shooting gallery, while the ground floor is occupied by police agencies (administrative and operational area), which shall serve 20 local agents throughout the day, plus a Service office Citizens Advice (SAC) of the City of Molina de Segura, which will improve the service currently provided to citizens of the area.
On the second floor are located other municipal services, such as offices, meeting rooms for social groups, a study hall, etc..
The new headquarters of Local Police is the second available to the municipality.
