The new headquarters of the Local Police in La Molina de Segura Alcayna strengthens the security of citizens of more than 12,000 residential areas Altorreal, La Alcayna, Rabbits, Los Olivos and the Chorrico, among others, as well as field Molina, where the population increase in recent years has been very significant.

The directors of the Presidency and Public Administration, María Pedro Reverte, and Justice and Public Safety, Manuel Campos, with the mayor of Molina de Segura, Eduardo Contreras, today inaugurated the building in which they are integrated, in addition to police facilities, other municipal services for citizens.

The building, whose construction began in May 2009, has a total area of ​​1,432 square meters on three floors, has a total investment of 1.5 billion euros, of which 900,000 have been contributed by the Autonomous Community and the remainder by the City.

Facilities

The basement of the building is for parking, storage and shooting gallery, while the ground floor is occupied by police units, divided into administrative and operational area of ​​the 20 local police officers, who shall serve for 24 hours a day.

In addition, this plant is located other municipal services that complement those located on the second floor as offices and meeting rooms for social groups.

The Minister of Justice and Public Safety said that the construction of these police stations has been "an important and necessary financial effort, it was imperative that Molina held a second quarter to extend a modern police service equally to all corners of the municipality, especially large housing estates on the outskirts of the town, they have experienced in recent years a remarkable population growth. For his part, Pedro María Reverte highlighted the regional government investment effort "to provide all municipalities in the infrastructure and services to ensure the best care to all Murcia."

The counselor reiterated the commitment of regional government with the security of the 45 municipalities of the community through the Regional Public Safety Plan, which "has allowed to provide better resources, promote specialized training and expand with 30 new effective staffing of the Local police Molina de Segura, currently composed of about 130 agents.
