Totally abolishes the new cut aid for young students of the Erasmus.
The CP and Contreras refused in Parliament from 28 February to reconsider the withdrawal of support for young students.
While other Spanish cities are redoubling their efforts and strengthen scholarships, grants and subsidies for training and qualification of young people, eliminates Contreras gave little aid to the council, which had benefited hundreds of young people.
Antonio Gomariz said that the worst of the cuts is that it is on education and training, because that is what leads to greater inequality and invites Contreras to learn from other Spanish cities that make an extra effort to improve the skills and language learning of their young.
What he has done Contreras is just the opposite what we need, increase investment in training and qualification of young people in a town with a very high dropout and failure rates, says Antonio Gomariz.
The CP and Contreras also voted against the City Council convene this support and improve learning programs or language immersion programs in other countries, an essential tool to qualify for skilled jobs and more stable.
The education cuts in the municipal budget in 2010 and 2011, now joins the elimination of these subsidies.
