Molina de Segura UPyD regretted the closure of Thader TV and has shown its solidarity and support to twenty workers who have lost their jobs after the end of emissions.
Encarnacion Hernandez, candidate for mayor of this political, highlighted "the great professionalism of journalists who over the years have been fulfilled in an exemplary manner a commendable job in public service to our society" and stressed that it is "a news very sad for regional journalism and plurality of information in our municipality. "
As to the question which is open from now on the future of the municipal Public License, UPyD understood that in the current context of profound economic crisis in our City, it must exclude even consider managing and financing of this publicly audiovisual company, so UPyD understands that the only solution to not give up the license is out to tender its management, to be maintained privately, under the condition that the media continue to fulfill its public service role and ensure the stability and quality of work of their employees, especially as concerns about wages.
In this sense, UPyD requests to local and regional government rethink its role in future investments in media companies not to give rise to economically viable projects.
