The Catalan author will meet with the media at 12.30 pm in Arco de San Juan de Murcia
The Cycle of Meetings Literary Writers in ink 2011 in Molina de Segura, organized by the city of Molina de Segura, in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Region of Murcia and La Caixa, opens its fifth year with the conference writer Enrique Vila-Matas, to be held on Thursday 3 February at 20.00 pm in the Library Salvador García Aguilar (in Chorrico Avenue, No. 44).
Previously, 12.30, Vila-Matas will meet with the media at Hotel Arco de San Juan de Murcia, which will be accompanied by the Councillor for Culture of the City of Molina de Segura, Mariola Martinez Robles, and the Coordinator literary cycle, Lola Grace.
Alfredo Gomez Cerda, Eduardo Mendoza, Jerome Tristant, Care Santos and Jorge Bucay are the other writers who make up this year's lineup of writers in their ink 2011.
Enrique Vila-Matas
(Barcelona, 1948)
He studied law and journalism, directed short films, was a film critic and wrote four books before publishing, at age 37, Brief History of Portable Literature, which was unknown.
Subsequently delivered to the press books of short stories and children as suicide copies without children, but its true apotheosis came with the trilogy composed metaliterary Bartleby & Co. (2001), El mal de Montano (2002) and Doctor Pasavento (2005), in which has developed a personal formula, halfway between fiction, essay and biography, which has won countless readers and critical acclaim.
Knight of the Legion of Honor of France, winner of awards including the Rómulo Gallegos and the Prix Medicis Etranger, his work has been translated into 30 languages.
