Cycle of Meetings Literary writers in their ink 2011 in Molina de Segura (01/02/2011)

The first record of this event will take place on Thursday 3 February at 20.00 pm in the Library Salvador García Aguilar, Enrique Vila-Matas

Enrique Vila-Matas, Alfredo Gomez Cerda, Eduardo Mendoza, Jerome Tristant, Care Santos and Jorge Bucay are writers who make up the lineup this year the fifth edition of the series of meetings in ink Literary Writers 2011, organized by the Ayuntamiento de Molina de Segura, and has the support of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Region of Murcia and La Caixa.

The cycle has been presented at a press conference today, Tuesday 1 February, by the Mayor of the town, Eduardo Contreras Linares, the Director General for the Promotion of Culture and the Book of the Region of Murcia, Francisco Giménez Gracia, Councillor Culture, Mariola Martinez Robles, and the coordinator and host of the cycle, Lola Grace.

The literary cycle, which this year takes place from February to May, opens on Thursday, February 3, at 20.00 pm in the Library Salvador García Aguilar (in Chorrico Avenue, No. 44), Enrique Vila-Matas , author of the bestselling trilogy composed metaliterary Bartleby & Co. (2001), El mal de Montano (2002) and Doctor Pasavento (2005).

Explains the Councillor of Culture, "Writers in Ink is a cycle that generates much excitement and acceptance among the public molinense. It is also a breeding ground for future authors, and a very special occasion that citizens have the Molina de Segura , and the whole region, to meet in person to their favorite writers, and has had great support from the public, with an average attendance of 200 people by author, and a total of 3,000 attendees in recent years ".

In the four previous editions have marched in Molina de Segura some of the most prominent writers of national and international scene, some real classics, such as Ana Maria Matute, Zoé Valdés, Alfredo Bryce Echenique, Luis Leante, Ian Gibson, Luis Rojas Marcos Angela Vallvey, Javier Cercas, Fernando Sanchez Drago, and María Ángeles Caso Dueñas.

The cycle is oriented as well, since last year, secondary education institutes, so that more of the selected writers are authors of juvenile literature or experts in matters of the relevant agendas.

Enrique Vila-Matas

(Barcelona, 1948)

He studied law and journalism, directed short films, was a film critic and wrote four books before publishing, at age 37, Brief History of Portable Literature, which was unknown.

Subsequently delivered to the press books of short stories and children as suicide copies without children, but its true apotheosis came with the trilogy composed metaliterary Bartleby & Co. (2001), El mal de Montano (2002) and Doctor Pasavento (2005), in which has developed a personal formula, halfway between fiction, essay and biography, which has won countless readers and critical acclaim.

Knight of the Legion of Honor of France, winner of awards including the Rómulo Gallegos and the Prix Medicis Etranger, his work has been translated into 30 languages.

CERDA ALFREDO GOMEZ

(Madrid, 1951)

Author in literature aimed at children and youth, has published over 80 works, many of which have been translated into languages such as English, French, German, Italian and even Chinese.

EDUARDO MENDOZA

(Barcelona, 1943)

JEROME Tristant

(Murcia, 1969)

(Barcelona, 1970)

Jorge Bucay

(Buenos Aires, 1949)

Along the road of life, Jorge Bucay has had careers as varied as the traveling salesman, insurance agent, taxi driver, clown, actor and doctor as such, is specialized in mental illness in the hospital of Buenos Aires Pirovano.
