Molina de Segura will host next May, the First National Congress of Healthy Sports, organized by the Molina de Segura City Council, the Molina Hospital, the Sports Science Faculty of the University of Murcia and the General Sports Directorate of the Autonomous Community of Murcia Region.

This morning, it was presented in the Plenary Hall of the Molinense Consistory, with the presence of the Mayor of Molina de Segura, Esther Clavero Mira, the Manager of the Hospital de Molina, Pedro Hernández Jiménez, the Dean of the Faculty of Sports Sciences of the UMU and President of the Organizing Committee, Arturo Díaz Suárez, the Vice Dean of Research, Training and Postgraduate of the same Faculty and President of the Scientific Committee of the congress, María del Pilar Sainz of Baranda Andújar, and the General Director of Community Sports Autonomous Region of Murcia, Alonso Gómez López.

During the ceremony, the Manager of the Hospital de Molina, Pedro Hernández Jiménez, said that "sometimes, sports are performed under conditions that are not security, and this can generate both physical and mental pathologies." It is precisely because of improper practices so that the feared lesions arise, from the Hospital de Molina - through our specialists of the Traumatology and Orthopedic Surgery Services, Oral, Maxillofacial and Implantology, Physiotherapy, and Dietetics and Nutrition -, we want to present the possible risks for health and, above all, to promote a sports practice in safety conditions for the health of athletes and sports fans ".

Health in the sport base from a multidisciplinary point of view, the locomotor apparatus of the sportsman, the sport in the school age in the Region of Murcia, the identification of the risk of injury and the work of prevention of the injury in the base sport and The methodology of training in sports initiation, both in collective and individual sports, are some of the topics that will be addressed in this Congress, through conferences and workshops, from May 11 to 13 at MUDEM (Ibn Arabí Street, Molina de Segura) and IES Vega del Táder (Avenida Gutiérrez Mellado, Molina de Segura).

Aimed at sports coaches, sports technicians and students with university degrees associated with Physical Activity, Sports and Health Sciences, the First National Congress of Healthy Sports has the recognition of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports (CARM) and the validation of CRAU credits.
