On the occasion of the celebration of the Day of the Book, the Department of Education of the City of Molina de Segura organizes the WORD OF SEDA, directed by the writer Molinense Paco López Mengual, which takes place on Wednesday, April 25, at 10:15 am, at the CEIP Vega del Segura (in the hamlet of La Ribera de Molina).
This activity will consist in the exchange of a literary production by the students of the center (poetry, writing, writing, drawing) by a number of silk worms that will be facilitated by said writer.
The initiative aims to promote reading, as well as the development of values ​​such as cooperation, creativity and respect for the environment.
Students can check the cycle of metamorphosis of the butterfly silkworm, at the same time they develop their literary skills.
The Councilor for Education, Fuensanta Martínez Jiménez, has highlighted that "Molina de Segura, as an Educating City, is a good example of the involvement of the entire educational community, schools, families and institutions, in all activities of educational promotion and training the citizenship of the municipality. "
