The Local Safety Board of Molina de Segura held an extraordinary meeting today, Friday, April 20, at the City Council, presided over by the Mayor of the town, Esther Clavero Mira.

The First Deputy Mayor and Councilor for Public Safety, Fernando Miñana Hurtado, the Second Deputy Mayor, Ángel Navarro García, the Head of the Civil Protection Unit of the Government Delegation in the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia have also attended. , Juan Lorente, the Chief of Staff of the Government Delegation, Ana Belén Navarro Iglesias, the Deputy Inspector of the Local Police, José Pérez Almagro, the Chief Inspector of the Police Station of the National Police in Molina de Segura, Pedro Arbizu Bonel, the Commander of the Civil Guard in Molina de Segura, Enrique Ignacio Olmos Sola, the General Secretary of the City Council, María Dolores Martín-Gil García, the Spokesperson of the Municipal Group of the Popular Party, Sonia Carrillo Mármol, the Councilor not attached Trinidad Romero Sánchez, the non-attached Councilor Estanislao Vidal Pujante, the non-attached Councilman Alberto Aguilar Zarco, the non-attached Councilman Pedro González Riquelme, the

Councilor not attached Concepción Orenes Hernández, the non-attached Councilor Miguel Ángel Rodríguez Torres, and a representative of the Federation of Neighborhood Associations Interbarrios.

The meeting had as sole item on the agenda to specify the joint security operation in urbanizations and districts, after the criminal acts produced a few weeks ago in the municipality, with assaults inside homes.

And, as explained by the Mayor, the Government Delegation has informed that it is not possible to set up a Response Operative Group (GOR), of a mixed and permanent nature, as requested by the Molina de Segura Town Council to the Delegation of the Government in the Region of Murcia in the extraordinary and urgent meeting held on April 2.

This group would be formed in equal parts by agents of the National Police and the Local Police of Molina de Segura.

The reason given by the Government Delegation is that the Police Station of the National Police Force of Molina de Segura does not include in its catalog the possibility of creating a GOR, as it does in the case of the municipalities of Murcia, Cartagena and Lorca.

Esther Clavero has announced that all municipal groups of the Molinense City Council will present a joint emergency motion to request the Ministry of the Interior to modify the catalog of the National Police Station and the creation of a Response Task Force in the municipality.

Meanwhile, the Mayor reminded the residents of the urbanizations, that the special security device in these areas, composed of agents of Local Police and National Police, will remain active.
