The intergenerational workshop Mayores y Tradiciones, promoted by the Department of Social Welfare of the Molinense City Council, through the Seniors Unit, takes place today, Friday, March 23, from 09:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., at the CRA Campo de Molina in the district of El Fenazar.
Students from the public school and members of the Association of Elderly of El Fenazar, who make traditional sweets, with the collaboration of the elderly from the La Ribera de Molina Center.
The workshop is part of the program of activities for the revitalization of senior centers for the months of March to December 2018, aimed at the elderly population of the municipality with the aim of improving the quality of life of older people through activities that encourage active aging.
Specifically, this workshop aims to: promote the participation and integration of the elderly in the life of the community;
foster the interpersonal relationships of the elderly in their own environment;
promote awareness of self-esteem and usefulness;
strengthen the maintenance of functional capacities, acting in the preventive field;
and favor the enjoyment of life through the development of skills.
It is aimed at members of the Senior Center of San Roque, who will participate in the development of traditional sweets.
Throughout the year, the Senior Unit promotes activities for the elderly group of Molina de Segura.
