Oven Museum of the Council + House of Folklore

It is a singular example of popular architecture of the XVII-XVIII centuries, located in the Barrio del Castillo that was born after the recovery and rehabilitation of the oldest furnace in this city: El Horno del Castillo.

The building maintains almost entirely its original structure, made with the old tapial technique and in which the great dome of its impressive Moorish oven stands out.

The museum shows, with interactive media and a very current museography, the most significant aspects of the baker's trade as well as a sample of the most significant aspects of local folklore.

The rooms of which it consists are:

• Sala del pan: where you talk about the architecture, the history and the stories of this oven and its people.

• Audiovisual Room: An enveloping audiovisual is projected on the walls and in the extraordinary dome of the oven, the tireless work of the baker, who kneads his bread night after night.

• Folklore Hall: Rounds, rondallas, traditional dances and sounds come together in this room for the visitor to get to know and enjoy the rich folklore of Molina de Segura.

• Sala del Pozo: the well, meeting point of the traditional houses of the garden.
