Two students of the Higher Cycle of Promotion of Gender Equality, which is taught at the IES Gabriel Miró de Orihuela, will reinforce the service provided by the CAVI de Molina de Segura, thanks to the collaboration agreement signed between the Molinense City Council and the aforementioned Alicante Institute , according to the Councilor for Social Welfare, Ángel Navarro García.

"The promotion of gender equality is one of the priorities of the government team of the Molina de Segura City Council," said Ángel Navarro, "and this Higher Level training cycle, which is not taught in any educational center in our Region, will have a great benefit both for the Molina de Segura City Council, and its CAVI service, as well as for students, with competencies acquired to program, develop and evaluate interventions related to the promotion of equal treatment and opportunities between women and men, applying strategies and techniques in the field of social intervention, detecting situations of risk of discrimination based on sex and empowering women's social participation ".

The two students have begun their training this month in the CAVI de Molina de Segura, and will have a duration of 400 hours each, so in total there will be 800 hours of training in close collaboration with the CAVI de Molina de Segura, until mid June 2018.

With the signing of this collaboration agreement, the consistory is committed to support training in the field of equality and prevention of gender violence, offering a space for the realization of training practices.

The Higher Cycle of Promotion of Gender Equality, as it does not exist in the Murcia Region, is a new professional profile that can enrich the services of Molin, thus promoting new actions for women victims of sexist violence from a different perspective.

The title of Senior Technician in Promotion of Gender Equality was established by Royal Decree 779/2013, of October 11.
