The Castellón author will hold a meeting with the media at 7:00 pm, in the same library
The writer Manuel Vicent is the second guest of the Literary Encounter Cycle Writers in his ink 2018 of Molina de Segura, organized by the City of Molina de Segura, with the collaboration of la Caixa.
The meeting will take place on Thursday, March 8, at 8:00 pm, at the Salvador García Aguilar Library (at Avenida del Chorrico, n ° 44).
Previously, at 7:00 pm, Vicent will hold a meeting with the media in the same library, where he will be accompanied by the Councilor for Culture of the City Council of Molina de Segura, Pedro Jesús Martínez Baños, and the Literary Cycle Coordinator, Lola Gracia .
MANUEL VICENT (Villavieja, Castellón, 1936)
Bachelor of Law and Philosophy, was also one of the first students of the newly created School of Journalism in Madrid.
He soon began to collaborate with Hermano Lobo and El País, where he continues decades later.
He has created work in all genres: theater, stories, biographies or travel books.
His magnificent novels Son de mar and Tranvía a la Malvarrosa have been taken to the cinema by, respectively, Bigas Luna and José Luis García Sánchez.
His style has been defined as baroque and luminous.
Paco Umbral, who admired "the tectonic quality of his prose and the Levantine force of his images", also defined him as "precious, crude, stylist".
He has won the Alfaguara de Novela, Nadal and Francisco Cerecedo Awards for Journalism.
