The Councilor for Social Welfare, Ángel Navarro García, has presented the prizes to the winners of the contest.
The event was attended by the President of the Association of Seniors for Active Aging, the Director of the IES Eduardo Linares Lumeras and the tutor of the second year of Bachillerato.
The prizes have been the following:
First Prize: Paula Gadea Rodríguez
Second Prize: Ismael Pina Mármol
Third Prize: María Cantero Piqueras
The Department of Social Welfare of the City of Molina de Segura, in collaboration with the Association of Seniors for Active and Healthy Aging, aims to promote that the group of elders puts in the foreground their life project connecting with their environment.
A "multi-age" society involves designing and creating new spaces for learning and communication.
To this end, from the Senior Unit of the Department of Social Welfare was launched a contest for the creation of LOGO for the Association "For an Active and Healthy Aging Molina de Segura."
On a continuous basis activities are being carried out in the Senior Centers of the municipality.
These activities are intended to extend them to others that entail, in addition to the physical exercise vital for a good aging, other activities that have to do with the development of cognitive aspects and playful aspects, so necessary in this evolutionary phase that implies becoming bigger and having the maximum quality of life.
Thus, it was proposed by the Department of Social Welfare the creation of a meeting space for older people with other groups, This type of intergenerational activities aimed at other age groups, provide reciprocal benefits for the generations involved, has been demonstrated , the increase in self-esteem and the decrease in the feeling of loneliness and isolation, when the elderly relate to other groups of age, such as young people.
With this objective has been raised this contest, the older ones have visited the Secondary Education Institute "Eduardo Linares Lumeras" on two occasions.
In a first meeting they asked the students their demand, the Logo for the Association of Elders, and a second visit in which the students within the space of their classroom, and with their tutor, made the presentation of their work, explaining the same.
The group chosen for the realization has been the students of the 2nd year of the Baccalaureate of the Eduardo Linares Art Institute of Molina de Segura, for being the Art Institute of the Municipality.
The activity has had an excellent reception, almost all the students of the second year of high school have participated, with high level works.
Likewise, the Seniors have been involved in the project, with many of the Seniors who participated participating in the presentation of the activity.
The following prizes have been established, in the form of design, and with the motto of Association of Elderly for an Active and Healthy Aging of Molina de Segura.

It has been an indispensable condition that the works presented are original.
The techniques used are totally free, and the originality and creativity of them has been especially valued.
