Presented the Web Portal of Citizen Participation of the City of Molina de Segura (01/03/2018)

The First Deputy Mayor, Fernando Manuel Miñana Hurtado, together with the Councilor for Citizen Participation Pedro Jesús Martínez Baños, presented today in a press conference the web portal of Citizen Participation of the municipality, which has been developed by the Mallorcan company Andos Asesores, SL whose representative, Ángel Gracia Matéu, has also participated in the presentation.

The Web platform of Citizen Participation of the Molina de Segura Town Council was born with the intention of becoming an instrument of information and participation, useful for the citizens of the Municipality.

It is a digital space, which is intended to bring together all activities of citizen participation that take place in our municipality, either at the initiative of the City or on the part of the Area Boards or the neighbors themselves.

A space from which the citizens and associations of the municipality will be informed of the actions that are carried out in each of the spaces for institutional participation.

In addition, Portal Consul is incorporated, a tool that allows carrying out all types of participatory processes that are carried out by the City Council or others that are intended to promote and that cover the rights of consolidated citizens such as the right of proposal and the of public hearing, such as citizen proposals, debates, participatory budgets, collaborative legislation, citizen interviews, surveys, voting ..., with the advantage that it allows easily adapting to the particular needs of each institution.

Consul is a free software tool developed by the Madrid City Council, which is also used by other administrations, both national and international, such as the city halls of Buenos Aires, Jalisco, Quito, Lima;

in Latin America, Turin and Valletta in Italy, Valladolid, Valencia, Alicante, Las Palmas in Spain, etc ... and other universities such as the Complutense University.

It has three characteristics that have prompted the Molina de Segura City Council to implement it: its gratuity, which is a cooperative impulse among those who use it and who is free.

This commitment to free software, driven by municipalism, is an opportunity for collaboration between different municipalities, as well as cost savings for municipal coffers or any other institution that is interested in its use.
