The Hospital de Molina has launched its Hospital Nutrition Unit, becoming the first Hospital in the Region of Murcia, and a pioneer in Spain, to incorporate a Barista Dietitian-Nutritionist, Pablo Barcina Pérez.
In the words of the Director-Manager of Molina Hospital, Pedro Hernández Jiménez, "the objective of this Unit is to improve the nutrition of our hospitalized patients and promote research in this area in collaboration with the UCAM. this initiative, we are responding to a request of the Official Association of Dieticians-Nutritionists of the Region of Murcia, which is the inclusion of the professional Dietitian-Nutritionist in the Hospital Health Services, as a health profession that is ".
The main lines of work on which the Hospitable Nutrition Unit of Hospital de Molina is centered are:
Diet therapy for admitted patients of different pathologies
Coordination with the catering service and cafeteria kitchen of the hospital center.
Training of health personnel in nutrition issues.
Dissemination of healthy habits in this area.
Its implementation is part of the Research Chair of Hospital de Molina of the UCAM, through the program of Industrial Doctorate of the Academic Institution, conceived as a research project developed between the Hospital Center and the UCAM, and which integrates the training Researcher of the Dietista-Nutritionist.
