The Hospital de Molina and the NGO Cirugía Solidaria signed a collaboration agreement this morning with the aim of jointly establishing volunteer actions present and future to contribute to a global, integrated, responsible and supportive development of disadvantaged countries.
In this sense, the Hospital de Molina is committed to providing, according to the needs of the NGO and the availability of the Hospital itself, sanitary material, equipment, drugs and nursing staff, for the health care activities that Cirugía Solidaria performs in disadvantaged countries, especially of the African continent.
In addition, the Hospital de Molina makes available to the NGO its surgical and hospital facilities to attend to the interventions of sick patients from disadvantaged countries.
The signing of the agreement was held this morning at the hospital, with the assistance of the President of the Solidarity Surgery Association, José Manuel Rodríguez González, and the Director-Manager of the Molina Hospital, Pedro Hernández Jiménez, for whom "this agreement supposes the formalization of a collaboration that we have been maintaining for years with Solidarity Surgery at the Hospital de Molina.We collaborate selflessly and in an altruistic way, performing surgical operations, providing sanitary material and even part of our staff has joined several times the multidisciplinary team of the NGO in several trips to Africa to carry out health cooperation It is a grain of sand that we add to the great work that this NGO develops, with people who really have a very difficult access to health care ".
The Solidarity Surgery Association is an NGO that provides healthcare, mainly surgical in countries or areas of severe medical-surgical deficiencies, promotes assistance with health equipment and / or human resources in areas and situations with health and social needs, and, In addition, it offers help and training to the health community of the country visited and coordinates actions so that in certain pathologies with surgical solution it is possible, in its case, to make transfers of patients to Spanish hospitals for their treatment.
