The City Council collaborates and disseminates the research works Virtual Archeology of the Historical Heritage of Molina de Segura, carried out by students of the IES Francisco de Goya (20/12/2017)

The Department of Education and Culture of the City of Molina de Segura, collaborate in the dissemination of Research Works Virtual Archeology of the Historical Heritage of Molina de Segura, made by students of the Bachelor of Research of the IES Francisco de Goya de Molina de Segura, while that the Municipal Archive has collaborated in the bibliographic documentation part.

On Wednesday, January 3, 2018, at 11.00 am, at the Virginia Martínez Fernández Auditorium (MUDEM), the act of discovering one of the plates installed in the three places of our historical and industrial heritage to which they refer will take place. the research works, Molina de Segura's medieval wall (MUDEM), the Horno del Concejo and Casa del Folklore, and the defunct La Molinera factory.

The plaque that will be discovered will be found at the entrance of the MUDEM (Museum of the Enclave of the Wall).

Already in the auditorium will be presented by the students of the subject TECHNICAL DRAWING the virtual recreation and video of the medieval wall that is preserved in the MUDEM, the Horn of the Council and House of Folklore and the missing factory of La Molinera.

The act will be attended by the Mayor of Molina de Segura, Esther Clavero Mira, the Councilor for Education, Fuensanta Martínez Jiménez, and the Councilor for Culture, Pedro Jesús Martínez Baños.

Likewise, the Director of the IES Francisco de Goya and the students who have carried out the works will intervene in the act.

The works, which are going to be presented under the name of VIRTUAL ARCHEOLOGY OF THE HISTORICAL HERITAGE OF MOLINA DE SEGURA, are part of those carried out by the students of the Bachelor of Research of the IES Francisco de Goya.

They use augmented reality and virtual techniques.

In their subject of technical drawing they have created 3D models of the three buildings listed.

They have also done an exhaustive work of historical documentation and have created and edited informative videos.

But not only have they stayed there.

They have also designed a brochure that can be collected in each of the buildings worked.

In the same way, they have created the codes for access to augmented reality and the videos of the three buildings.

These codes can be read with digital media on the plates that will be placed on the exteriors of the monuments.

Therefore, it is a multidisciplinary work that fits in a total way with the methodology of the Research Baccalaureate in which the IES Goya de Molina de Segura is a pioneer at the local and regional level.

It is a baccalaureate started in the 2007-2008 academic year and is designed to meet the demand of students with higher academic interests.

The Bachillerato de Investigación, among other things, is a teaching based on research projects and the management of bibliographic and webgraphic sources.

The IES Francisco de Goya and his students have received 21 awards in the last 10 years distributed among students, teachers and the center.

Five of these awards have been with the highest national distinction.
