119 students of the IES Francisco de Goya and the Vicente Medina School of Molina de Segura participate in the Emprender to Include project of the CEPAIM Foundation (14/12/2017)

The CEPAIM Foundation, the Department of Education of the Molina de Segura City Council and the Secondary Education schools Francisco de Goya and Vicente Medina have collaborated during this course on the Entrepreneurship to Include (EPI) project, carried out by the CEPAIM Foundation, and co-financed by the European Social Fund, with the intermediate body CEPES (Spanish Business Confederation of the Social Economy).

As a culmination to this project, on December 18, 19 and 20, at the IES Francisco de Goya, the EPI Cooperatives Fair is held, with an exhibition of the products made by the students in these cooperatives.

Entrepreneurship to Include is a project framed within the POISES programs, Operational Program of Social Inclusion and Social Economy for the period 2014-2020.

The general objective of the project is to promote entrepreneurial culture and is aimed at students in the second cycle of ESO and PFPB (Basic Vocational Training Programs).

This year, CEPAIM is developing the project in a pilot way, in 4 Spanish territories.

Two centers in Ciudad Real, two other centers in Huelva, two centers in Murcia, and two centers in Molina de Segura (IES Francisco de Goya and Vicente Medina Concerted College).

During this year, the aim is to validate and improve the materials and the didactic methodology designed.

The methodology of the project consists of forming cooperative societies within the classroom, so that the students ("cooperative members"), decide what products or services they want to offer to the market, exploring the skills and talents that each one of them can contribute to the cooperative .

During the development of the project, the "cooperative members" must follow all the necessary steps for the development of an entrepreneurial project, from choosing the name of the company, its corporate purpose, election of governing board, cooperative statutes, corporate image, advertising, assignment of tasks, etc.

Throughout the process, the teacher adopts a role of facilitator, observing how the group develops, and trying to create a work environment in which the student is the main protagonist, fostering talent, autonomous learning, cooperativism, training of work commissions, team work and democratic decision making.

Finally, the program ends with the celebration of a few days in which the services are provided and / or the defined and elaborated products are sold.

After the sales days, a balance is made, both economic and educational, of the experience, and the cooperatives are dissolved.

Part of the benefits obtained will be donated to non-profit organizations in the territory.

In Molina de Segura, 119 young people are participating in this experience.

In the IES Francisco de Goya, a total of 11 cooperatives are developing their projects, in which 100 students are involved, which are in 4th of ESO, and 1 and 2 of training cycles in Computing, Telecommunications and Automotive.

In the Vicente Medina School 2 cooperatives are being developed, with the participation of 19 3rd and 4th year ESO students.

The EPI Cooperatives Fair will offer a wide variety of products and services.

You can buy products made by students, such as bracelets, key rings or badges.

There will also be a second hand book market, movie projection, tropical dance classes, computer maintenance courses, videogame contests, archery, darts, sports championships and other entertainment games, etc.

In addition, the more daring can enjoy a ride on a horse, or a ride on quads.

During the days 18, 19 and 20, in the morning, the cooperatives will offer the services / products to the rest of the students of the center, and to the teachers.

On Wednesday, December 20, in the afternoon, the center will open its doors to the general public, so that all citizens can visit the fair.
