The 1st Conference on Social and Solidarity Economy of Molina de Segura are held on November 9, 10 and 11 (06/11/2017)

The 1st Conference on Social and Solidarity Economy of Molina de Segura, promoted by the Molinense City Council, through the councils of Commerce, Crafts and Citizen Participation, the Alternative and Solidarity Economy Network (REAS Murcia) and the School of Training and Innovation of the Public Administration (EFIAP), will take place on November 9, 10 and 11, in the Museum of the Enclave de la Muralla (MUDEM) and in the Plaza de España.

The initiative was presented at a press conference on Monday, November 6, by the Mayor of the town, Esther Clavero Mira, the Councilor for Citizen Participation, Pedro Jesus Martinez Baños, the Councilman of Crafts, Andrés Martínez Cervantes, and the President of REAS Murcia, Miguel Crespo Sansano.

These Days will gather, among other groups, experts, social organizations, administrations, companies, entrepreneurs, technicians, consumers and students to share experiences around the Social and Solidarity Economy and discuss their future possibilities.

They are structured in two blocks: a program of conferences and round tables, on Thursday 9 and Friday 10, at the MUDEM, and the Social and Solidarity Economy Fair, on Friday 10 and Saturday 11, at the Plaza de España.

The objective of this Conference is "to bring to the population examples of alternative economic experiences more ethical, viable and based on the development of people, collaborating in giving greater visibility and information on projects and initiatives of Social Economy and Solidarity present at the local level, national and international ", explains the Mayor, Esther Clavero.

The program of conferences will be carried out around five thematic axes: Public Policies, Citizen Aggregation, The Economy will be solidary if it is feminist, Responsible Public Contracting and The value of money and ethical finances.

Among the conferences, highlights the inaugural address on Thursday, November 9, at 12.00, by Joan Subirats, Doctor of Economic Sciences and Professor of Political Science at the Autonomous University of Barcelona.

Expert in issues of governance, management and analysis of public policies, as well as problems of democratic innovation, Subirats will intervene with a presentation entitled Social Innovation, how to transform the economy between the public and the collective.

It also highlights the presentation of the book The Value of Money, by Ugo Biggeri, President of Banca Popolare Etica, which will take place in the Plenary Hall of the Town Hall on Friday, November 10, at 6.30 pm.

As for the Social and Solidarity Economy Fair, it is a meeting that aims to be a reference for entities that feel part of the movement, with the aim of strengthening and making visible products and services representative of it.

It will have more than 20 exhibitors, and will have a varied and extended program, with musical and theatrical activities, workshops, aimed at both children and adults, and talks.
