The tenth edition of the Tortilla Rock Festival 2017, organized jointly by the Youth Council of the City of Molina de Segura and the Save the Direct Association (SED), is celebrated on Saturday, November 4, starting at 11:00 am in Plaza de Spain.
The musical event was presented at a press conference on Tuesday, October 17, by the Mayor of the town, Esther Clavero Mira, First Deputy Mayor and Youth Councilor, Fernando Miñana Hurtado, and the President of the Save the Live Association , Ángel Rodríguez Moreno.
The Tortilla Rock is the biggest bet by bands in the Region of Murcia, with more than 14 hours of live music by 13 different music groups, in addition to the peculiar contest of tortillas of potatoes in which the prize is awarded omelet and the best presentation.
The musical groups that will perform are POTENZIA ROCK BAND, PNUK, STARING INTO THE WOODS, TRASPIÉ, LA TARBERNA DEL ORCO, CRITERION DLPTV, VIOLET !, HURON RECORDS, CEDA EL VASO, DESENKANTO, ROKAVIEJA, CANDY, and ESENCIA DE BAR.
The SED Association, formed by different musicians, collaborators and groups from the Region of Murcia, organizes this itinerant festival through which more than one hundred groups have gone through their nine years.
In addition, it promotes other musical events, such as Band Duel, Music Day or SED Music Awards, all for free for the spectator and self-financed by the association itself, with the help of bands and other collaborators.
This year, Save the Live celebrates the tenth edition of the Tortilla Rock, an ambitious project that includes a presentation tour in different locations in the Region of Murcia, a CD Recopilatorio with 18 participating bands and the marathon live music festival that takes its first name.
Ten years are a perfect reason to carry out the honorable work of bringing to light a compilation album that shows the quality of the music of the Murcia groups, composed of 18 themes of the most relevant bands of the Association SED and others of the Region of Murcia.
For all this, on Saturday, October 14, the CD Recopilatorio X Tortilla Rock was released in a 1,500-disc CD format with free distribution and through the most important digital platforms such as YouTube, Spotify, etc.
Some of these bands will have gone through a presentation tour that goes beyond the celebration of this tenth Tortilla Rock, in different venues and venues such as Vagary Rock in Roldán, Club Custom de Alhama, Play of Fuente Álamo, Sala Musik de Murcia and Coyote Bar of Cartagena.
