The Municipality of Molina de Segura, through the councils of Tourism and Public Road, has improved the tourist signage of the city, with the location of 15 signs that indicate, on the one hand, the location of the Office of Tourism and, On the other, the Urban Route that runs through the old town of Molina de Segura from the Pilgrimage Road to Caravaca de la Cruz, as it passes through the city.
This action is part of the Tourist Signage Plan that is being developed year after year in the municipality.
In 2015, 3 directional signs were placed on the main access road to the city, Calle Mayor, to direct visitors and tourists to the Tourist Office.
In 2016 a map of the situation was placed outside the Tourist Office, which indicates, through a You are here, the location of the visitor and show you the essential routes that run through the monuments, museums and places of interest Tourist of the locality.
The plan also has a QR code for downloading tourist information of the locality from its website.
In this year 2017, giving continuity to the Tourism Signage Plan, priority has been given to reinforcing directional, traffic and pedestrian signs to direct tourists / visitors to the Tourist Office, located on Calle Pensionista n ° 3, Since, according to the satisfaction surveys carried out on tourists, the Tourist Office was insufficiently signposted.
In total, 8 signs, 6 traffic and 2 pedestrians have been placed.
On the other hand, and coinciding with the fact that this is the Jubilee Year, an Urban Route has been designed so that the pilgrims who make the Camino de Levante, which, starting from Molina de Segura, coincides with the Greenway of the Northwest, Historic center of the city and also seal their credentials in the establishments qualified for it.
In total, 7 signs, 2 of the beginning of the Urban Route and 5 directional arrows have been placed to guide the pilgrim.
In addition, a flyer with the plane of the route has also been edited.
The Councilor of Public Road, Fuensanta Martínez Jiménez, has confirmed that "this signage will be completed throughout this year with new informational positional signs in the main tourist resources of the municipality and two new plans of situation placed in strategic places."
For its part, the Councilor for Tourism, Rocío Balsalobre Sánchez, explained that "this important improvement has been made in the existing tourist signage in the city in order that the visitor obtains the best and most updated information on how to reach the Office of Tourism and how to realize the Urban Route in which are located the main tourist resources of Molina de Segura ".
