The act of signing the collaboration agreement between the City of Molina de Segura and the Official Association of Pharmacists of the Region of Murcia to regulate the supply of pharmacological treatments to people who need it and who lack the means to acquire it has taken place today Tuesday 23rd of May.
The Mayor of Molina de Segura, Esther Clavero Mira, the President of the Association of Pharmacists of the Region of Murcia, Isabel Tovar Martínez, and the Councilor for Social Welfare, Ángel Navarro García, attended the event.
The objective of this agreement, managed by the Council of Social Welfare, is to cover the technical collaboration between the City of Molina de Segura and the Official College of Pharmacists of the Region of Murcia for the development of the supply, as aids Urgent need, from pharmacological treatments to people who need it and who lack resources.
According to the Councilor for Social Welfare, "through this agreement, the government team intends to attend to the necessary compliance with the regional regulations of pharmaceutical management and facilitate the effective acquisition in any pharmacy office of the municipality of medicines by beneficiaries Of the aids. Likewise, the monthly billing centralized by the Official Association of Pharmacists of the Region of Murcia to the City council will give greater security control of the proper destination of the municipal contribution.
The collaboration does not imply a new or different economic impact for the municipal economy, since there is already a stable forecast in the municipal budget charged to the municipal financial aid to attend situations of social need.
It shall commence on the date of signature of the Convention and shall continue until 31 December 2017 and may be extended for successive periods of one calendar year by mutual agreement of the parties.
During 2016, the Department of Social Welfare managed a total of 1,432 urgently needed aid, for a total amount of € 254,945.37, of which 33 were for pharmacy aid, amounting to € 2,068.32 .
