The City Council of Molina de Segura collaborates with the Murcia Association on Bike, which organizes the Achoencuentros, XVIII Cycle Tourists ConBici, from 8 to 16 April.
On Holy Thursday, April 13, the sixth stage of these meetings, at 11:00 a stop will take place next to the Museum of the Enclave of the Wall (MUDEM), where cyclists will recover forces with a Murcian lunch.
The town hall will install a tourist stand there and will open the MUDEM so that cyclists who wish can visit.
This year 2017 and in its eighteenth edition, the Murcia Bike Association has been in charge of organizing the Achoencuentros, an event that brings together 300 cyclists from all over Spain, from April 8 to 16. Discovering the secrets of the Region of Murcia with the only energy of his legs.
The route designed by Murcia in Bici proposes a very varied route, combining sea, orchard and mountain, and alternating populations with cultural and historical interest with secluded corners that allow escape from the urban bustle.
The Achoencuentros are part of the Cicloturistas Encounters, which every two years organizes one of the 54 entities that are part of ConBici (State Coordinator in Defense of the Bicycle) to visit different zones of the Spanish geography, realizing not only routes that emphasize More beautiful in each area, but enjoying cultural, gastronomic, playful and educational activities that make these types of encounters a different way to enjoy the bicycle.
The purpose of the meetings is to demonstrate to citizens that cycling is one of the most efficient means of transport in short-distance distance and promote a different form of tourism, sustainable and clean tourism.
In addition, the Achoencuentros want to be a tool that demands social change, both in the way of understanding the mobility and in the way of relating during the trip.
After sleeping in Totana, Puerto de Mazarrón, Cartagena, La Manga and twice in Murcia, the sixth stage of these cycling tournaments, about 50 km, will lead the participants on April 13 from Murcia to Mula, passing Rincon de Seca , La Raya, Alcantarilla, Molina de Segura, Alguazas, Campos del Río, Albudeite, Baños de Mula and Puebla de Mula.
This stage has two very special stops to recover forces, the first in the Museum of the Wall Enclave (MUDEM) in Molina de Segura, and another in the Baths of Mula in the afternoon.
