The Penitential Procession with the image of Our Father Jesus Nazareno, organized by the Superior Cabildo of Brotherhood Pasionarias of Molina de Segura, will take place on Friday, April 7, at 10 pm, coinciding with the celebration of Friday Dolores.
The procession will leave from the Church of Our Lady of the Assumption of Molina de Segura and will tour the streets of the old town, in the Barrio del Castillo (Pensioner, Benavente, Plaza de Cristo Rey, San Vicente, Vázquez Of Mella, Cid Campeador and Juan Sandoval), to finish again in the Church Square of Our Lady of the Assumption, where will take place the encounter with the images of San Juan and La Dolorosa.
The Penitential Procession, in Via Crucis, was recovered sixteen years ago, after almost forty years of absence and the total restoration of the image, which will be carried by representatives of the four confraternities that make up the Cabildo (Confraternity of the Triumphal Entry of Jesus in Jerusalem, Brotherhood of the Holy Christ of Sorrows, Brotherhood of the Holy Burial, and Arch-brotherhood of the Rosary and Resurrection).
The procession will be accompanied by the sound of the drums of the band of Good Friday and the illumination of the candles carried by the people who accompany the procession.
The Nazareno de Molina will wear his old tunic, restored a few years ago by the Cabildo Superior de Cofradías, and will be carried by a throne made of silver alpaca.
On the other hand, after the Penitential Procession with the image of Our Father Jesus of Nazareth, the procession will take place with the image of the Virgin of Sorrows, at 11.00 pm, which will be transferred from the Church of Our Lady of the Assumption to the Hermitage of San Roque.
This procession is organized by the Brotherhood of the Holy Christ of Sorrows.
Also at 11.00 pm, from the Church of Our Lady of the Assumption, the image of San Juan will be transferred to the Church of San Vicente Mártir.
Upon arrival, a salve will be sung to the image of the Virgin of Hope.
This event is organized by the Confraternity of the Triumphal Entry of Jesus in Jerusalem.
