There are three Community programs that have trained 79 unemployed young people from Molina de Segura. For a year, the participants have combined theoretical training and paid employment working on several social projects (31/03/2017)

Today, three Community programs have been closed down for a year. They have trained a total of 79 young people from Molina de Segura in seven professional specializations, alternating theoretical training and paid professional experience.

These training projects total a total subsidy of the Ministry of Economic Development, Tourism and Employment, through the SEF, of 858,500 euros.

The main objective of these three training projects has been to boost the youth employment of the municipality, so two of them have been specifically targeted to young beneficiaries of Youth Guarantee, ie under 30 years who did not study or work, and the third To unemployed persons under 25 years of age.

One of these Youth Guarantee projects, which has received a subsidy of 347,750 euros, has given specialties related to the gardening and electricity sector.

While the second, with 163,000 euros, has focused on sectors such as sports;

Leisure and leisure, and tourism. The third program, subsidized with 347,750 euros, has trained children under 25 years to work in the construction sector.

The director general of the SEF, Alejandro Zamora, and the mayor of the town, Esther Clavero, handed today to the participants a certificate of professionalism in the specialty in which they have graduated.

During his speech, Zamora stressed the usefulness of these programs, which "allow young people to achieve professionalism and gain experience, necessary to access the labor market, while participating in activities of public or social interest of their municipality."

With this accreditation, which is valid throughout the country, these students can now access the labor market as masons, sports technicians, gardeners and welders, among other trades.

Theory and real work

After a first period of theoretical training of three months, these 79 students have completed the practical part of the program with paid employment of public and social interest.

With regard to the beneficiaries of Youth Guarantee, 32 have participated in the restoration works of La Cerámica square and the municipal swimming pool environment, as well as in the maintenance of public buildings and gardens.

At the end, 15 of them have obtained a certificate in the specialty of auxiliary operations of assembly and maintenance of electrical and electronic equipment, while the remaining 17 have specialized as auxiliaries in nurseries, gardens and centers of gardening.

In addition, 15 other children under 30 have obtained a certificate in the specialty of auxiliary operations in the organization of activities and operation of sports facilities, after having completed the theory and performing paid work as auxiliaries in the sports centers of the municipality.

Finally, 32 children under 25 years of unemployment have participated in the rehabilitation of the municipal stadium, eight of which have specialized in auxiliary operations of masonry of factories and decks, and eight in furniture installation.

In addition, eight have obtained a certificate in domestic plumbing and heating-air conditioning operations and eight others in welding with coated electrode and Tig.

Evolution of employment in Molina de Segura

Prior to the award ceremony, Zamora met with the mayor of Molina de Segura, Esther Clavero, where they addressed the positive evolution of employment data in the locality, where unemployment dropped by 8.7 percent in the last Year, representing a decrease of 539 unemployed.

With regard to job creation, the number of Social Security affiliates has increased by 1,271 people in the last twelve months, an increase of 5.55%, bringing the number of affiliates in the municipality in 24,169 people.
