The City of Molina de Segura and Ecoembes present two new projects for the promotion of responsible consumption and recycling in public centers (15/03/2017)

The presentation of the joint projects of the Councils of Consumption and Environment of the City of Molina de Segura, in collaboration with ECOEMBES, on responsible consumption and selective collection of waste, took place today Wednesday, March 15, in the Hall of Full.

The Mayor of the town, Esther Clavero Mira, the Specialist in Local and Autonomous Management for the Region of Murcia of ECOEMBES, Patricia García Moral, the General Secretary of the Union of Consumers of Spain (UCE) in the Region of Murcia, María José Hernández, Councilor for the Environment, Purificación Carbonell Capel, Councilor for Consumption, Esther Sánchez Rodríguez, Councilor for Public Buildings, Rocío Balsalobre Sánchez, Councilor for Education, Fuensanta Martínez Jiménez, Production Director for SERCOMOSA, Pedro Manuel García Martínez and the Coordinator of Trappers of Emmaus Region of Murcia, Francisco López Vidal.

The City Council of Molina de Segura and Ecoembes continue their collaboration to promote respect for the environment through awareness and education.

On this occasion they launch two projects:

ECOOGAR ECO2: aims to educate the small consumer and the family as a whole, in order to guarantee changes in habits essential for responsible consumption.

This project is developed in collaboration also with the Union of Consumers and Users of the Region of Murcia (UCE-Region of Murcia).

In order to expand and improve the selective collection program in public buildings and educational centers, which is being developed by the City of Molina de Segura, Ecoembes will deliver to the consistory 560 blue and yellow litter bins.

Parallel to the distribution of these new paper mills will be developed a specific environmental education program for each type of collective: one aimed at the educational community and another for workers and users of public buildings.

This project collaborates with Sercomosa and Traperos de Emmaús, the educational centers of the municipality and other entities and services attached to the selective collection program of the City of Molina de Segura.

Meanwhile, on Wednesday 15 March, World Day of Consumer Rights, at 19.30, in the Hall of Plenary of the City of Molina de Segura, the planned actions of the ECOOGAR ECO2 program begin with the celebration of the Day Information on Responsible Consumption, by Sonia Almodóvar Mejía, of the Consumers Union of Spain Region of Murcia.
