The Professional Music Conservatory Maestro Jaime López de Molina de Segura organizes two Master Classes, Bombardino and Tuba, and Clarinet, during the month of March (10/03/2017)

The Conservatorio Profesional de Musica Maestro Jaime López de Molina de Segura organizes two Master Classes, one of Bombardino and Tuba, on Tuesday 14 and Wednesday 15 March, and another Clarinete, on Thursday 16 and Friday 17 March, in the Auditorio Virginia Martínez Fernández (MUDEM).

In addition, on Tuesday, March 14, in the same auditorium, at 20:00 hours, there will be a Bombardino and Tuba recital and presentation of their CD, an activity open to the general public.

The Master Class of Bombardino and Tuba (March 14 and 15) will be given by the bombardier of the Municipal Band of Bilbao, David Abellán García, addressed to the students of the specialties of Tuba and Bombardino.

David Abellán García was born in Jumilla.

He began his musical studies at the Music Academy of the Jumillana Friends of Music Association.

He completed the secondary level studies in the professional conservatories of Murcia, Julián Santos de Jumilla and Tomás Luis de Victoria de Ávila, with professors Francisco González Hernández and Daniel Férriz Azorín.

Subsequently, he entered the Manuel Massoti Littel Superior Music Conservatory of Murcia, finishing his studies with Professor Santiago Juanes Llorens.

He has made numerous training courses with professors such as Vicente López, David Llácer, Juanjo Munera, Josep Bruguera, Steven Mead, Pedro Manuel Delegido, Mel Culbertson, Miguel Vallés, David Thornton, among others.

Throughout his career as an instrumentalist, he has been part of the School of Tubes City of Yecla and of the Band of the Federation of Bands of the Region of Murcia, being also collaborator of the Municipal Band of Vitoria Gasteiz, Municipal Band of Bilbao , School of Tubas City of Yecla, etc.

In 2005, he was part of the Young European Band (EUYWO), touring Luxembourg and Italy, under the baton of the prestigious conductor and composer Jan Cober.

He collaborated in the 2008/2009 subscription cycle of the Symphony Orchestra of the Region of Murcia, and in 2010 he participated in the tour of Austria by the Young World Band (WYWOP), occupying the position of Bombardino Soloist, under the baton By Henry Adams.

He has taught advanced and masterclass courses in the conservatories of Cartagena, Ciudad Real, Jumilla and the annual festival for serious metal Trombonanza, held in the Argentine city of Santa Fe.

In 2014 premier, together with the Orchestra of the Professional Conservatory of Music of Cartagena, the work Genteel Dances, by the composer Ginés Carrión, dedicated to him.

He was also invited to the first conference for tuba and bombardino held in Barcelona and organized by the Spanish Association of Tubas and Bombardinos.

He has been invited in 2014 and 2016 to the Tuba and Bombardino Festival organized by the Spanish Association of Tuba and Bombardino (AETYB) held in Barcelona and Valencia respectively.

He has acted as soloist in multidud of groupings: Band of the AEC of Yecla, Band of the Association Jumillana Friends of Music, Orchestra of the Conservatory of Cartagena, Symphony Orchestra of Bilbao, among others.

He emphasizes his performance, in November of 2015, next to the Municipal Band of Santiago de Compostela, interpreting the Concert for Bombardino of Vladimir Cosma.

In December of 2016 he presented his first album, titled Genteel Dances, with the label Audioart, and in collaboration with the composer Ginés Carrión.

At the moment it is bombardino of the Municipal Band of Bilbao and director of the festival for Tuba and Bombardino Jumilla LowBrass (www.jumillalowbrass.com).

He has received numerous awards and awards throughout his musical career.

The Master Class of Clarinete (March 16 and 17) will be given by the soloist clarinet of the Symphony Orchestra of the Region of Murcia and professor resident in the private project Clarinet Encounters Murcia, Jesús A. Carrasco Gómez.

Born in Abarán (Murcia), Jesús A. Carrasco Gómez began his clarinet studies at the Conservatorio Superior de Musica de Murcia, finishing the Higher Degree with Honorable Mention.

In 1998 he moved to Paris to study postgraduate studies, awarded for two years by the Séneca Foundation, in L'École Normale de Paris Alfred Cortot, obtaining the Superior Degree of Execution by unanimity of the jury and in 1999, the Diploma Superior de Concertista , Also by unanimous decision of the jury.

He has attended courses with professorsEnrique PérezPiquer, Thea King, Eric Hoeprich, Colin Lawson, Miguel Espejo, Henry Boock and Larry Passin.

He has been invited to collaborate with orchestras such as Royal Philharmonic of Galicia, Pablo Sarasate of Pamplona, ​​Symphony of GranCanarias, Symphony of Castile and Leon, Project Gerard and Orchestra Ciutat de Barcelona and National of Catalunya, among others. He has been part of the Orchestra of Young Region of Murcia, Symphony Orchestra of the Conservatorio Superior deMúsica de Murcia, Orchestra of the International Festival of Young Orchestras in Murcia, Symphony Orchestra of the Vallés and Symphony Orchestra of the Grand Theater of Barcelona. In 2002 he is invited to join the Orchestra Ciutat de Barcelona i National of Catalonia.

As a soloist, he has performed in several occasions. Fernando Palacios Polvote and Concerto for Clarinete Mozart, Weber, Aaron Copland and Ă“scar Navarro Concerto II.

He has taught in the conservatories of Lorca, Segovia, Professional of Murcia, Superior of Castellón, Superior of Murcia, and realized courses in different points of the Spanish geography (Barcelona, ​​Valencia, Murcia, etc).

He has been professor of the Youth Orchestra of the Region of Murcia.

Currently, he is a soloist clarinet of the Symphony Orchestra of the Region of Murcia and a resident teacher in the private project Clarinet Encounters Murcia, along with professors such as Josep Fuster, Jose-Franch Ballester, Juan Ferrer, Johannes Peitz, among others. .
