The broken record describes the performance of the National Institute of Colonization (INC) in the gestation of the town of San Isidro de Albatera (Alicante, now called San Isidro), its foundations and the role of its protagonists, highlighting the efforts of its inhabitants to To triumph where others have not been able to do it: to turn a wasteland into fertile land.

With this book, the author aims to culminate an objective already initiated in 2006 with his work Puertas de la memoria: sharing with his legitimate owners, the men and women who participated in the colonization, all the knowledge acquired in more than a decade of research, Concerning the actions of the National Institute of Colonization in this town.
José Manuel Cartagena Ros has a degree in Psychology from the University of Valencia and a Psychopedagogy from the University of Murcia.
He began his professional career as a psychologist at the Municipal Psychopedagogical Office of the City of Crevillente, joining in 1988 to teach as a professor of Philosophy, and from 1992 as an Advisor in secondary schools.
He currently works at the IES Francisco de Goya, in Molina de Segura, as Professor of Secondary Education in the specialty of Educational Orientation, an area in which he is the author of several publications and has been part of research groups.
