The Youth Council of the City of Molina de Segura, in collaboration with the educational centers, has convened the XXVI Literary Contest of Secondary Education 2017, which can participate all students who study Secondary Education (ESO), Baccalaureate , Training Cycles and Basic Vocational Training.
This activity aims to encourage and support young people who have literary concerns with the collaboration of educational centers and this is the basis of success in its various calls.
The novelty of this year is the publication of a book of microrrelates and poetry winners of the Contest last year and the writers of the Association La Molineta Literaria that, with their collaboration, motivated the students through literary talks.
"From the Department of Youth, we will continue to focus on promoting writing and reading among young people in the municipality. It is essential that from the administrations we make our commitment to culture, especially for the promotion of literature, to have A critical, conscious and participative citizenship, "says the First Lieutenant of Mayor and Councilor of Youth, Fernando Miñana Hurtado.
The contest establishes the modalities of Microrrelato and Micropoesía.
The compositions submitted to the competition must be free, original and unpublished.
The extension of the micro-narratives will be a maximum of 250 words.
And in micropoetry, the limit will be in 5 lines.
Each contestant may send a maximum of two works for each modality.
The Literary Contest includes the following categories:
First Level: students of 1st and 2nd ESO).
Second Level: students of 3rd and 4th ESO and Basic Vocational Training.
Third Level: High School students and Training Cycles.
The following prizes are instituted for each category and level:
First prize: a batch of books worth € 150.
Second prize: a batch of books worth € 100.
Third prize: a batch of books worth € 80.
The deadline for admission ends on March 24, 2017, and the works must be submitted to the Youth Council, located in the El Retén Building (Calle Mayor, n ° 81), or by e-mail, juventud@molinadesegura.es .

The Council of Youth of the City of Molina de Segura will publish the list of winners on the bulletin boards of the Youth Department, on the municipal website (www.molinadesegura.es) and in secondary education centers.
