The reception to the group of professors from Wales and Italy participating in the European Erasmus + project, together with CEIP Maestro Francisco Martínez Bernal de Molina de Segura, took place today Monday, February 27, in the Mayor's Office of the municipality of Mollina.
The event was attended by the Second Deputy Mayor of the town, Ángel Navarro García, and the Councilor for Education, Fuensanta Martínez Jiménez, the Director of the Moldovan center, Fulgencio Monreal Monreal, and the Head of Studies at the center, José David Expósito Cano .
The Welsh teachers who visit Molina de Segura come from the Cadoxton Primary School (located in Barry) and the Italians from the IC 16 Valpantena center (located in Verona).
They, together with CEIP Maestro professors Francisco Martínez Bernal, participate in an Erasmus + project.
For the first time since its creation, the Molino school has been involved in a project of strategic partnerships of good practice in the field of school education (KA219) of the European Erasmus + program.
The title of the project is Teaching digital competence, literacy and bilingualism through fun activities.
This project, whose first transnational faculty meeting will take place from 24 to 28 February in Molina de Segura, will last 3 school years, ending on August 31, 2019. Its main objectives are:
- Exchange experiences in the learning and teaching of digital competence, literacy and bilingualism.
- To develop students' literacy through activities that favor the exchange of different cultural aspects of the different countries.
- Improve digital competence through the use of computer programs and applications that allow the achievement of learning objectives.
- To develop the teaching and learning of the foreign language through a wide variety of motivating activities.
The project involves two visits from teachers and students to the countries participating in the project.
A series of criteria will be established for the selection procedure of the students participating in the visits.
Likewise, a working group will be established, which will be in charge of preparing the different activities to be carried out by the students as well as designing the evaluation activities.
The first transnational faculty meeting (from 24 to 28 February in Molina de Segura) is attended by 4 teachers from the Welsh school and 3 from the Italian school.
Later, from 23 to 28 April, 20 students from these two colleges (10 Welsh and 10 Italians) will visit Molina de Segura, carrying out activities at CEIP Maestro Francisco Martínez Bernal and in the city, staying during their stay in Albergue Municipal de El Rellano.
