The Visitor Information Center of Las Lagunas de Campotéjar opens its doors on Sunday, February 19th, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., to provide information on the environmental and landscape values ​​and other resources of interest in this environment.
In addition, this day the center offers two new environmental activities related to the celebration of the carnival:
- 10.30 hours: guided ecological route to know the functioning of the ecosystem as a whole that form Las Lagunas de Campotéjar and the Rambla del Salar Gordo.
In this activity participants will learn the peculiarities of the typical vegetation of this natural space associated with salt areas, and telescope and binocular observations of the waterfowl that visit it.
- 12.15 pm: mask workshop The malvasia, duck and porrón.
The participants will know the main characteristics of the bird species that have been observed during the itinerary through the realization of funny faces, which will help them better identify each species of bird and enjoy the carnival in the natural environment.
Finally, an explanatory visit will be made to the Information and Visitors Center of these Lagoons.
With the help of informative panels and illuminated murals on the fauna and flora of the salt marsh vegetation, the visit will contribute to a better knowledge of this natural space and its rich biodiversity.
This center hosts the first and third Sunday of each month a complete and varied program of environmental activities designed by the Department of Environment.
These activities are aimed at all audiences.
Participation is free and prior registration is not necessary.
