On the occasion of the commemoration of World Cancer Day tomorrow, the Hospital de Molina, within the framework of its ongoing collaboration with the AECC, is hosting an information desk of the Spanish Association against Cancer.
Throughout the morning, AECC volunteers inform all the users of the Hospital Center of the four guidelines so that today is "A day to change the rest of your life":
Avoid tobacco and alcohol
Protect yourself from the sun
Carry a balanced diet
Perform physical exercise
By modifying our habits for healthier ones, we can help prevent the onset of cancer in our lives.
The Director-Manager of Molina Hospital, Pedro Hernández Jiménez, recalls the great work of prevention, diagnosis, cure and research that every healthcare professional makes every day to definitively defeat cancer: "From our Hospital, we work for health Of all the citizens of Vega Media and the Region of Murcia, and we contribute our bit, especially in the area of ​​prevention, to win the battle against cancer.
In the prevention of cancer, the Diagnostic Imaging Service of the Hospital de Molina mammography and mammography ultrasound to the population susceptible to suffering from this pathology, and recommends the performance of tests for the prevention of digestive neoplasias, directed by the Internal Medicine Services and Digestive endoscopy of the hospital.
According to the data (2015) offered by the Spanish Society of Medical Oncology (SEOM), colorectal cancer is the most frequent in the Spanish population, while the prostate is the first in men and the breast in women.

Tomorrow, Saturday 4 February, World Cancer Day, the AECC Local Board celebrates the AECC Night of Solidarity for the benefit of the AECC, at the Villa de Molina Theater.
Tickets can be purchased at the booth located in Paseo Rosales (Molina de Segura) and at the box office of the Theater itself.
