The Governing Board of the City of Molina de Segura awards three services of the Basic Attendance Service in the Home and Family Respite for a total amount of 131,046.77 euros (19/01/2017)

The Municipality of Molina de Segura, through the Department of Social Welfare, develops the Basic Attendance Service in the Home and Family Respite, which enables the permanence of users served in their socio-family environment and enhances the personal autonomy of Themselves.

This benefit is addressed to people with limitations in their personal autonomy: dependent, disabled, elderly, mentally ill, and critical family situations.

The Basic Attendance Service in the Home and Family Respite is concretized in the following services: Home Help Service, Attention Weekend and Holidays, Family Respite Service, Home Meals Service and Tele-Assistance Service.

On January 10, the Local Government Board of Molina de Segura City Council approved the award, for the period from January 1 to December 31, 2017, of the Family Respite Service, Home Tele-Assistance Service and Service of Domiciliary meals to different companies specialized in providing these services, for a total amount of 131,046.77 euros.

The following describes these home care services and the contracting companies responsible for providing them:

Family Respite Service

The purpose of the service is to pay attention to family caregivers of dependents, improve their quality of life and family relationships, as well as provide emotional and physical well-being, by releasing care time to rest, leisure or other responsibilities.

This service provides a qualified home help helper that replaces, for a limited time, the habitual caregiver of the dependent person.

The service is provided according to the needs of the caregivers of the dependent person, responds to the needs of the caregiver's free time, and the accompanying needs and personal care of the dependent person.

The average number of users served per month is 30 users.

This service has been awarded to Axial Asistencia, SL, for an amount of 70,604.96 euros.

Home Teleassistance Service

It is a service that responds to the need for security, listening, accompaniment and attention in critical or emergency situations of the people served.

The answer is immediate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

This service makes use of communication and information technologies, through a fixed telephone line or a mobile telephone device, and a specific communications and computer equipment, located in a service center and in the domicile of the service holders.

The user of the service carries a device that, by simply pressing it, comes into a hands-free verbal contact with a center attended by personnel prepared to respond adequately to the need, either directly or, if required, other resources will be mobilized ( Human and / or materials) of the user or existing in the community.

The average number of users served per month is 185.

This service has been awarded to the entity Red Cross Spanish Autonomous Region of Murcia, for an amount of 15,200 euros.

Home Food Service

The Home Food Service is a preventive municipal resource, which provides nutritional and physical well-being to people who enjoy it, mostly elderly and dependent.

Prepared meals are supervised by qualified personnel, and are delivered daily at the users' homes.

The average number of users served per month amounts to 40 users, and a monthly average of 908 meals.

This service has been awarded to Nueva Cocina Mediterránea 2002, SLU, as social catering, in the amount of 45,241.81 euros.
