The ceremony of delivery of diplomas and closure of the Workshop Sewing and Repair Garments, organized by the Council of Social Welfare of the City of Molina de Segura and the Abraham Project Association, took place today Wednesday December 21, in the auditorium Of the Integral Center Ceramics.
The Mayor of Molina de Segura, Esther Clavero Mira and the Councilor for Social Welfare, Ángel Navarro García, attended the meeting.
The Municipality of Moline and the Asociación Proyecto Abraham have established a collaboration agreement for the collection of clothing, footwear and toys in the municipality and districts.
Through it, the association offers training actions for groups in situations of social exclusion that improve the skills and knowledge, in order to facilitate their employability.
This year, the chosen workshop has been the sewing and repair of garments, aimed at people over 18 years of age in the municipality in a situation of prolonged unemployment with low level of training and serious difficulties to access standard work.
The recipients were 12 people selected by the technicians of the Department of Social Welfare with the following profile: low level of training;
And difficulties of labor insertion by social, economic and cultural factors.
The sewing workshop began on October 24 and ended on November 7.
It has been developed from Monday to Friday, in the morning, at the Social Center of Punta del Lugar.
The City Council has provided the premises for the development of the workshop and the association has provided the monitor, as well as the necessary means for its development: 4 industrial sewing machines, an iron and other materials.
