The Governing Council has authorized the Murciano Health Service (SMS), under the Ministry of Health, to contract the renovation works on the first floor of the 'Antonio García' Health Center in the municipality of Molina de Segura, for Value of 665,593 euros.
The execution period of the works is of eight months and in that period the center will continue offering assistance in its habitual schedule.
With this action, the SMS undertakes the integral reform of the Health Center 'Antonio Garcia' with the purpose of improving its facilities and adapting its spaces.
This center is attached to the Health Area VI-Vega Media del Segura and offers, among other services, Family and Community Medicine, Pediatrics, Nursing, Midwife, Physiotherapy and Social Worker.
The SMS has more than 300 points of assistance in Primary Care in the Region.
Of these, 85 are health centers, 178 clinics, 12 points of continuous care and 27 emergency services of Primary Care (SUAP).
In addition, in the SMS there are more than 4,000 Primary Care professionals, of which more than 1,000 are facultative and more than 800 nurses, who offer care 365 days a year and 24 hours a day to users.
During last year, according to data from the SMS, more than 12 million attendances were registered in Primary Care, of which almost seven million were Family and Community Medicine and more than three Nursing, which represents a figure higher than 50,000 attentions Daily.
