The I Carrera Solidaria Alcaldía de Molina 2016, promoted by the Department of Sports and Health, in collaboration with eight secondary schools in the municipality, for the benefit of the Red Cross, will take place on Friday, December 16, at 12.00 Around the Company Park.

The initiative was presented at a press conference on Friday December 9th, in the Plenary Hall of the municipality of Molina, by the Mayor of the town, Esther Clavero Mira, the Director of IES Cañada de las Eras, Pedro Celestino López Alcazar, the Director of IES Vega del Táder, José Antonio Tornel Aguilar, IES Director Eduardo Linares Lumeras, Lucía Gil Nicolás, Secondary Director of the Educational Center Los Olivos, Mª Mercedes Marín García, IES Director Francisco de Goya, J. Jesús García Hourkade, the Director of the San Jorge School, Juan Cerón, the Head of Studies of the French Lyceum, Cristina Valenzuela, IES Physical Education Professor Francisco de Goya, Rafael Herrero Pagán, the representative of the Association of Sportsmen of Molina de Segura , Jesús Maeso Monge, and the Vice President of the Local Red Cross Assembly in Molina de Segura, Luis Carlos Sesma.

The I Carrera Solidaria Alcaldía de Molina is sponsored by Hero, Molinense Producciones Naturales and AMC Group, and the collaboration of the Association of Sportsmen of Molina de Segura, Pedro J. Villa Gym and Manzano Functional Life.

It will take place between 12.00 and 13.15 hours, in the surroundings of the Park of the Company, directed exclusively to students of Secondary Education of the educational centers of the locality.

So far, about one thousand eight hundred runners are assured, who will make a voluntary contribution that will go to the Red Cross.

The participating centers are: Colegio San Jorge, Centro Educativo Los Olivos, Colegio Vicente Medina, French Lycée André Malraux, IES Eduardo Linares Lumeras, IES Francisco de Goya, IES Vega del Táder and IES Cañada de las Eras.

The program includes: a non competitive race around the Park of the Company, variable according to the category (children, 1,000 m, cadets and junior, 2,000 m.);

And a directed session of physical exercise, in Plaza de España and Parque de la Compañía, in charge of the collaborating gyms: Pedro J. Villa and Manzano Functional Life.
