The City of Molina de Segura has launched an extraordinary basis, from Tuesday July 26 until Wednesday 31 August, a new school meal service free summer for children from families with lack of economic resources, which lends CEIP facilities in San Antonio, from 13.30 to 15.30 hours, as reported by the mayor of the town, Esther Clavero Mira.
The new service has been offered to beneficiaries under existing municipal programs or conveniados (CEPAIM, INTEGRA, Caritas, etc.).
After making calls offering, there have been 62 inscriptions.
Similarly, they may be entered under their request to the municipal social services upon referral motivated professionals the Department of Social Welfare.
The total number of places available for the dining room is 80, may be established waiting list.
The Mayor, who has met this morning with the Councillor for Social Welfare, Angel Navarro Garcia and councilors Fernando Miñana Hurtado and Pedro Jesús Martínez Baños to analyze the implementation of this service, recalled that, although it has now been decided launch this room with extraordinary and complementary, the City of Molina de Segura supports throughout the year to households with dependent children from a professional judgment, in which the family situation and the possibilities for changing their studied problems through a systematic intervention with family and in coordination with other resources, both internal economic (aid Urgent Need, Scholarships dining for nursery schools) and external (coordination agreed ones with the Red Cross, Caritas, CEPAIM request the Autonomous Community of the Basic Income Insertion, etc.).
Interventions not only extend to the aforementioned economic aid but extend to other personal and social needs (training, counseling, educational processes, actions in extreme situations ...).
Such interventions detect specific situations in these sectors particularly vulnerable and act in order to prevention and, where appropriate, coverage, periods in which there may be lack of other resources such as, for example, school canteens.
In addition, through the system of aid Urgent Need, which currently applies, the daily diet of children and all members of the household is covered, allowing to perform all necessary throughout the day meals.
In fact, summer is a priority the provision of the budget for financial assistance to cover food for families with children who stop attending school canteen, having concentrated the economic pillar of support for food overlooking those months with intention that in any case the coverage is insufficient.
Thus, with the above objective, during the months of April to July the average amount per aid under supply (aids urgent need for food) has viso increased, compared to the first quarter, a 23.43%.
Finally, during the month of July it has remained the resource dining in nursery schools (0-3 years) with their corresponding scholarships according to the different gradations of need (in a total of 37).
The Department of Social Welfare has also offered to these 37 children benefiting the ability to access the new service dining during the month of August.
