The 13th edition of Setenil Award for Best Story Book Published in Spain, organized by the Culture Department of the City of Molina de Segura, has been the busiest third in its history, having been a total of 81 titles from publishers and authors around the country.
The high turnout demonstrates the strength of the short story in Spain.
The Setenil Prize is endowed with 10,000 euros for the author of the winning work.
The jury is chaired this year by the renowned story writer Eloy Blight, author of Speed ​​gardens.
The jury is expected to issue its ruling in November.
The award will be presented in Molina de Segura in December 2016.
The winners of previous editions of Setenil were Alberto Mendez, Juan Pedro Aparicio, Cristina Fernández Cubas, Sergi PÃ mies, Oscar Esquivias, Fernando Clemot, Francisco Lopez Serrano, David Roas, Clara Obliged, Ignacio Ferrando, Javier Saez de Ibarra and Emilio Gavilanes.
