National Police agents have arrested a person suspected of a crime of fraud in Molina de Segura.
The National Police of the town recently initiated an investigation regarding a possible scam by an individual of Italian origin who was posing as the owner of a farm of lemons.
This guy signed a contract with a company for the fruit and vegetable sector in the region by selling their harvest of lemons about 80,000 kilograms for an amount of 70,000 euros;
the lemon kilo offered at a price well below market provided that the harvest was collected the day after signing the contract.
the fact that the rightful owner of the farm realized that people outside his circle were proceeding to the collection of lemons so he alerted the room 091 was given.
Agents of the Judicial Police Brigade proceeded to perform various police investigations identifying, locating and arresting the fraudster, an individual of Italian nationality and 45 years old who claimed to have bought lemons another individual.
The acting police found that the identity of the person who was fictitious concerned and that the company supposedly the detainee ran, import of fruit, was the name of a "straw man" who for a fee assumes criminal liability corresponding to one or more other people who do not want to compromise their heritage in their illegal activities.
The company supposedly was based in the village of Cabezo de Torres;
actually this direction corresponds to a particular address that has nothing to do with it or with the detainee.
The arrested is an acquaintance of the Forces of State Security since has been arrested, almost fifty times, for crimes of fraud and forgery;
last year was arrested in Paterna, Valencia, after defrauding a mode of operation similar to a group of companies of Levante.
Foreign authorities also know and demand;
and it consists in force European Arrest Warrant and Delivery by Italy for crimes of trafficking in arms and explosives;
last Friday became available to the National Court.
