Hospital de Molina has received accreditation from Silver level in the Network of Free Health Centers Snuff of the Region of Murcia, granted by the European Network ENSH Global, as part of the Fourth Conference on Control and Treatment of Smoking and Second Meeting Snuff-Free Hospital in Murcia, held this morning at the Reina Sofía Hospital and organized by the Directorate of Public Health and Addictions of the Ministry of Health of CARM.
This accreditation, awarded by the Minister of Health, Encarnacion Guillen, and the Manager of SMS, Francisco Agulló, is, in the words of Managing Director of the Hospital de Molina, Pedro Hernandez Jimenez, a qualitative leap in commitment Hospital Center with smoking cessation: "After getting the first of accreditation, the Accreditation Network Member, in March last year, certifying adherence to the Network of Free Hospital Snuff Region, our hospital has achieved third of the four possible accreditations in recognition of its progress in the high level of implementation of European standards for Smoke-Free Hospitals: training, smoking cessation program, health promotion, etc. ",.
These advances have been exhibited at the Fourth Conference on Control and Treatment of Smoking and Second Meeting of Free Hospital Snuff of the Region of Murcia, by the head of the Unit of Smoking Cessation Hospital de Molina, Dra. Ana Maria Huergo Silverio.
The Hospital Center has addressed this Unit workers and patients since 2015 and works in smoking cessation training of the medical personnel.
Hospital de Molina belongs, since late July 2014, the Network of Free Hospital Snuff of the Region of Murcia, integrated European LARED Hospital Smokeless (ENSH-Global Network for tobacco free health care services), which has developed a model of "Hospital Smokeless" based on proven measures.
Being a member of this network involves promoting health, ensuring free snuff care and work spaces, providing information on smoking and encouraging smoking cessation.
