The Deputy Mayor and Councillor for Transparency of the City of Molina de Segura, Fernando Miñana Hurtado, attended last Thursday, May 5, at the Congress Centre Elche, the General Constituent Assembly of the Network of Local Authorities for Transparency and Citizen Participation of the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP), the body to which the City of Molina de Segura is joined by agreement plenary session on 30 March 2015.
This network consists of 211 municipalities, 6 Provincial Councils, 5 commonwealths, an Island Council and Island Council.
The Network is chaired by the Mayor of Elche, Carlos Gonzalez;
other fourteen members appointed by the Assembly, make the Governing Council thereof.
During the opening ceremony was attended by the Secretary General of the FEMP, Juan Avila, who summarized the actions carried out by the FEMP on transparency, especially open lines of work to facilitate platforms and technical assistance to municipalities, especially the smaller ones.
In this Assembly it has approved a work plan that includes the creation of an observatory to measure the implementation of the Law on Transparency between local authorities and their progress in good governance.
The agenda for this command also plans to update some of the documents already developed by the Network since its inception just over one year, such as the Ordinance type Transparency, Access to Information and Reuse, or the Code of Good Local Government and proposes the development of a new type of Citizen Participation Regulation.
